Sharon H. Ulanoff

Sharon H. Ulanoff is an Assistant Professor of Multilingual/Multicultural Education at California State University, San Marcos where she teaches in the (B)CLAD credential program and the MA in Education, option in Multilingual/Multicultural Education. Prior to coming to San Marcos she was a bilingual teacher in Inglewood, California where she taught grades 1-5. She received her Ph.D. in Language, Literacy and Learning from USC in 1993. Her research interest include literacy/biliteracy, second language writing acquisition, inquiry based instruction and teacher-research.


Lillian Vega-Castaneda

Lillian Vega-Castaneda is an Associate Professor of Multilingual/Multicultural Education and the Coordinator of the (B)CLAD credential program at California State University, San Marcos where she teaches in the (B)CLAD credential program and the MA in Education, option in Multilingual/Multicultural Education. Lillian has worked as a bilingual teahcer in the Los Angeles area and also was the Associate Director of the Desegregation Assistance Center at the Southwest Regional Lab before coming to San Marcos. She received her Ed.D. from Harvard University in 1989. her research interests include sociolinguistics, ethnographic inquiry, literacy/biliteracy and issues of diversity.
