Catherine Minicucci

Catherine Minicucci is a Sacramento-based education
consultant who served as senior policy staff to the California State Legislature.
Since 1985, Minicucci has led her own research and evaluation firm. Minicucci
conducts research, evaluation and policy analysis on the educational challenges
faced by LEP students and the responses of schools, colleges and states.
She served as a senior member of the UCSC/BW Associates team for a study
of the impact of school reform on linguistically and culturally diverse
students with particular focus on grades 4 through 8. The study was commissioned
by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Education Reform and Improvement.
Minicucci is currently evaluating the California Tomorrow Immigrant Education
Project for the Mellon Foundation. The project is a collaborative effort
between California Tomorrow, two school districts and five high schools,
to assist restructuring high schools become more responsive to the needs
