Dianna Gutierrez
(University of California, Davis)
I am
a first year graduate student working on my MA in Education with an emphasis in
Psychological Studies in the Division of Education at U.C. Davis. I have participated
in several research studies evaluating school reform programs in the public school
system. In addition to working with PACE and West Ed evaluating the effects of
the Class Size Reduction initiative at the school level, I have also participated
in the evaluation of the Puente High School Outreach Program. My current interest
is how peer influences effect academic achievement within the Chicano/Latino adolescent
community at the secondary level. In pursuing this interest, I am partaking in
a CREDE study at two high schools in the Sacramento area.
