UC LMRI has no specific recommendations, nor do we have any arrangements with any other hotel for this conference.

The Marines' Memorial Club & Hotel is a charming 1920s Beaux-arts building, off Union Square, steps away from some of the best dining, shopping, galleries, etc. This is a non-smoking facility.

Room Rates:
Conference guests who register before the April 5th deadline will receive these Special Conference Room Rates:

Standard = $145 (single or double occupancy)
Deluxe = $160 (single or double occupancy)
Note: San Francisco's Hotel Occupancy Tax is an additional 14 percent

Rooms include: Full American Breakfast each morning in the Skyroom Restaurant, and two-hour Hosted Cocktail Reception on the 12th floor of the hotel, with panoramic views of the city each evening.

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Directions:
From the San Francisco International Airport (SFO): Take the Pittsburg/Bay Point train to the Powell St. station. There is a train every 15 minutes and the trip takes approximately 30 minutes from the airport station to Powell St. station. Upon exiting the Powell St. station you may either take a taxi or take a short (5 minutes) walk up Powell St. to Sutter St. Turn left on to Sutter St. from Powell St. The Marines' Memorial Club & Hotel is located at 609 Sutter. The fare one way from SFO to Powell St. will be approximately $4.95.

From the Marines' Memorial Club & Hotel to SFO:
Take the Millbrae train to the SFO station. There is a train every 15 minutes and the trip takes approximatley 30 minutes from Powell St. station to the airport station. The fare one way from Powell St. station to SFO will be approximately $4.95.

Take 101 North to Downtown – 7th Street Exit
Follow 7th Street going North
Cross Market Street and make a right onto Leavenworth
Make a right onto Bush Street
Make a right on Mason Street
The Club is one block down Mason Street at 609 Sutter

FROM THE EAST: EAST BAY/BAY BRIDGE
Take 5th Street/Downtown Exit (Exit to the left)
Veer Left on to Harrison Street
Take Harrison One Block West to 6th Street and turn Right
Cross Market Street (becomes Taylor Street)
Make a right on Bush Street
Make a right on Mason Street
Make a right on Sutter Street

FROM THE NORTH: MARIN/GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE
After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge
Take the Downtown/Lombard Street exit
Follow Lombard to Van Ness/101 South
Make a right on Van Ness and follow to Bush Street
Make a left on Bush and follow to Mason Street
Make a right on Mason and follow to Sutter
The Club is at 609 Sutter on the corner of Mason Street

Parking:
$28.00 (plus tax) per day with in and out privileges for Hotel Guests

Self Parking: Several commercial garages are available within a few blocks of Marines' Memorial Club which operate 24 hours a day. Currently, the charge for most  nearby self-parking lots is, on average, $21 per day.
