Updated: September 14, 2006Web Site Redesign
- As of October 1, 2005 UC LMRI's web site has a new look!
Some URLs have changed (see below).
- If the navigation menubar at the top of each page doesn't
work for you, your operating system and/or browser version may be the culprit.
- We recommend viewing this site using
Mozilla Firefox
(FREE download available for both PCs and Macs). See the "Tips and Tools" section of the
About This Web Site page for more information
on how to optimally view the new version of our web site.
- Mac users with Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE): we are working
to fix the drop down menu problem. In the meantime, you may wish to
download
Mozilla Firefox.
Alternatively, you can navigate
by utilizing the site map and/or the menu bar at the
bottom of each page.
- Thank you for your patience while we continue to improve.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the new web address for the UC LMRI web site?
- What new features are available in the redesign?
- Our new Home Page layout presents web site highlights from select "departments" so you'll always know "What's New"
- Our new Navigation Menubar appears at the top of each page and is uniform on every page.
It highlights our most popular pages, and has a drop-down menu for each section.
- There is also a "breadcrumb" trail at the top of each page to give you another way to know where you've
been and where you are currently within the site.
- Why did we redesign the web site?
To take advantage of advances in evolving web technology.
To make it more intuitive to use. To make it more user-friendly.
- Why do some of the pages still have the old look?
We have well over 500 web files. It takes time to apply the new template.
We hope to complete the conversion by the end of 2005.
- Where do I find information about UC LMRI?
From the bottom menubar, or from any of our main category pages in the sidebar: "About UC LMRI"
- How do I find information about individual departments within the web site?
From the header navbar: click on any main category.
Each main category page will show you a list of sub-pages within that category.
- Whom do I contact if I am experiencing problems/find a "dead" link/
want to add a job posting or funding opportunity/etc.?
For any Web Design and Maintenance questions or problems contact the web site manager,
Beverly Bavaro Leaney.
- What impact has the redesign had?
All the features of the original site have been retained -- and expanded.
Also, many enhancements have been made to extend the search process.
Many more pages and documents are now more easily accessible. Navigation and
browsing through the site is easier.
- What happened to the "???" page?
- What is a Site Map?
A Site Map will show you all of our site's main pages and sub-pages in one easy-to-read layout.
- Why can't I see/use the navigation/menu bar that's supposed to be at the top of each page?
If the navigation menubar at the top of each page doesn't
work for you, your operating system and/or browser version may be the culprit.
We suggest using the links at the bottom of the pages, or those on the
site map.
Mac users with Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE): we are working
to fix the drop down menu problem. In the meantime, you may wish to
download
Mozilla Firefox. Alternatively, you can navigate
by utilizing the site map and/or the menu bar at the
bottom of each page.
- The navigation bar does not print along with the rest of contents of the page.
Unfortunately, the only way the web pages print
correctly is to disable the navigation bar.
• Design and Maintenance: Beverly Bavaro Leaney
• Special Thanks to: Glenn Jahnke who designed the current navigation menu and whose help was invaluable
in creating the current version of this site.
• The top navigation menu bar on our site was created using Ultimate Drop Down Menu Version 4.
